Five must-see circus shows, according to acrobat Thomas Gorham
He's one of the main men behind new Adelaide Fringe hub Fool's Paradise and a circus performer that has toured in more than 20 countries, Thomas Gorham shares his top five circus picks for this year's Adelaide Fringe.
Godz
Godz is a mixture of acrobatics and comedy, but it is done perfectly. It's very, very adult so please don't bring the kids. It follows four gods who take you on a one night only party on Mt Olympus. Expect to see lots world class acrobatics and not a lot of clothing.

London Calling
This show just won the pick of the week at Adelaide Fringe. It's a superstar cabaret show filled with the most talented variety performers. If you're after something hilarious, skilful and family friendly, this show is slick and awesome.

Barbaroi
Winner of the best circus award in 2021, this show follows a new recruit into a violent gang in a post-apocalyptic world. Brilliant lighting, great scenery, music composition and choreography, all combined into a winning show with a dark theme.

Mansion
I first saw the original Mansion as an installation horror show in Melbourne a few years back. It had a brilliant cast performing a story of love and loss in a haunted mansion. Creepy ghouls and commercial dance combine.

PreHysterical
The ultimate family show at Fringe. It follows three hilarious and cute cavemen as they struggle to survive the harsh natural environments of the ancient world. Incredible acrobatics combined with slapstick humour that is definitely a winner for kids and grandparents.
