Sport in the city

Last updated 11 Aug, 2022

Adelaide is spoilt for choice when it comes to sport and outdoor activities. Whether you're after an activity with the family to get the kids outdoors these school holidays, or a bonding session with your work buddies or your BFFs, there's something for everyone in the city and North Adelaide.

Adelaide Park Lands Disc Golf Course

What is disc golf, one might ask? Well it involves a golf disk (frisbee) that is thrown to a 'hole' (target). Designed for all ages, this new addition to the Park Lands is sure to test your frisbee skills!

TreeClimb

If you’ve got little thrill seekers at home, this is the perfect school holiday activity for you. The Kids Course takes 80 minutes to complete and costs $29 per child. Safety is paramount – the harnesses and helmets are provided, as is a safety training course at the beginning of every climb. Although parents are welcome to join in, if you’d rather sit on the side lines and take photos of your little adventurers, there is an eco-hut that serves hot and cold beverages for your enjoyment.

TreeClimb Adelaide is Australia’s first inner-city aerial adventure park, set up in the Park Lands.

Why not head to the North Adelaide Golf Course and play a round of golf with your mates? With the course only a few minutes from local pubs, it's the perfect location to make a day of it.

Walking and cycling trails

Get some fresh air and ride your bike through one of the many bike trails in the city and North Adelaide. Take in the natural beauty as you wind through the trails. You might even have time for a cheeky pit stop at a nearby cafe.
