The indoor plant trend has been flourishing over the last few years, and it doesn't look to be slowing down anytime soon.

In addition to looking beautiful and adding a lush, vibrant feel to an otherwise empty space, indoor plants also come with some added benefits.

We spoke with local yogi and plant stylist, Kaysee Liebeknecht (pictured), from Breathe Stretch Float to share her thoughts on the humble house plant.

"Indoor plants are actually a great investment. It’s an easy way to add beautiful greenery to your home or workspace with the added benefits of air purification and increased oxygen levels - which help boost your mood, productivity, concentration and creativity."

Kaysee says it's also worth doing research on your plants, as some can be easily propagated with cuttings.

Popular plants like the monstera deliciosa or the heart-leaf philodendron are good examples of plants you can easily propagate, aka get new plants from existing plants.

If you're inspired to fill your indoor space with plants, see below for some of the fabulous indoor plant suppliers located around the city.
