Last updated 13 July, 2021

Adelaide doesn’t knock off at 5:00 pm! Make the most of the city, and take advantage of Adelaide’s many evening options. If you’re hunting for things to do once the work day winds down, here’s 5 After 5.

1. Get set up for the sunset

With the days getting longer, the evening is the perfect time to catch one of Adelaide's glorious sunsets, and you're not short on places to enjoy it.

Whether you make your way for walk on the Riverbank, or grab a drink in one of many great rooftop bars like 2KW or The Gallery, you're not short on options to watch the sky light up.

2. Indulge in late night snacks

Give yourself a break at the University of Adelaide UniBar. Iconic for its support of Adelaide students and the Australian music scene, the UniBar regular features local, national and international bands and is open til late Monday to Friday, with pool tables, gaming machines and constant specials.

4. Do a flip!

Want to give parkour a try? How about fire-spinning, circus acrobatics or tumbling? Point A, a community training warehouse, holds a variety of evening classes to get you moving, and for all skill levels. They also have ‘open warehouse’ sessions for general training.

5. Plan an art-tacular evening...

Adelaide is filled with street art and murals that look just as nice under the street lights as they do in the daytime. Take a wander through the city checking out the street art at duck with the Adelaide Fringe street art explosion walking guide.

Keep your art-themed night going by stopping into one of the several city restaurants that are mural and art clad – Madame Hanoi’s Vietnamese namesake mural by Emma Hack is a highlight, as is Paloma Bar and Pantry’s work by local artist Neil Thwaite.
