National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant

Second Saturday of November

The Christmas Pageant is a South Australian Christmas tradition which takes place on the second Saturday of November. Families line city streets to welcome the festive season and of course, Father Christmas to Adelaide.

The pageant began in 1933 and has grown each year, now comprising of over 60 floats and 1,700 volunteers. The pageant parades down the city centre, full of colour, activity and music, with floats which celebrate Australia and Christmas.

A great Christmas event for families, ensure you arrive early to secure a viewing space along the parade route, taking public transport and bringing snacks is encouraged!

The City of Adelaide is a proud supporter of the National Pharmacies Christmas Pageant.
