Adelaide Film Festival

Adelaide Film Festival (ADL Film Fest) is a biennial, eleven-day celebration and exploration of Australian and international screen culture held in October. The unique program of screenings, forums and special events offers a platform for new talent be introduced to the Australian industry, while opening doors for worldwide success.

Established in 2003, the festival is Australia’s premier film event, launching new films, art and interactive projects to national and international audiences. Festival participation has grown each year, with attendees being treated to Australian and world premieres.

Running in conjunction with the festival is the ADL Film Fest Fund which provides equity investment in Australian screen production. The fund commissions new projects each year and thus far has invested in 103 projects. Fund supported films have gone on to achieve great success, including an Emmy, two awards at Cannes, one at Berlin and two Sundance Film Festivals wins.
