Why I love Adelaide: Heather Croall

Last updated 26 Aug, 2021

Heather Croall is the Artistic Director and CEO of the Adelaide Fringe. Born in Blackpool in the UK, Heather and her family moved to South Australia when she was five. Heather first worked at the Fringe in the Star Club in the early 1990’s and also ran the film event, Shoot The Fringe from 1992 to 2002. After a decade away from Adelaide running a festival in the UK, Heather returned to take up the Director and CEO role in 2015 and has called Adelaide home ever since. We caught up with Heather to talk about her favourite places in the city and North Adelaide and to find out why Heather loves this city.
