You never need to travel too far to host a family feast with 49 free barbecues dotted all throughout the park lands. Pick up some snags, fire up the barbie and enjoy the beautiful green landscape. Majority of the barbecues are electric and can be used free of charge.

Jolley’s Boathouse

Any closer and you’d be sitting on the river itself! Jolley’s Boathouse is the ideal place to perch for a meal and watch ducks and the iconic Popeye float on by. The menu is filled with fresh South Australian seafood, plenty of classics and a few modern twists.

Lounders Boatshed Cafe

Housed in a beautiful boatshed from the 1900s, Lounders is a gorgeous place to stop for a coffee on your bike ride along the Linear Park Trail. Live music and a lively crowd make this an entertaining place for a brunch date.

The River Café and the Red Ochre Barrel and Grill connect you with the nature in more ways than one. Both venues focus on seasonal local produce and are located on the river in a two-story floating pavilion. Upstairs, the Red Ochre Barrel and Grill serves up an impressive meal while downstairs the River Café creates simple yet sumptuous servings.

The Velo Precinct

If you’re in need of a snack, what better place than amidst rolling green hills? The 19th Hole is located on the North Adelaide Golf Course but doesn’t require you to be sporting golfing attire to stop in! Take a seat out on the balcony and soak in the views.

Located near the Torrens Weir, the Par 3 Cafe is a handy pit stop along your riverbank stroll. Open during the Par 3 course hours, you can take your pick from light meals, coffees, ice creams or the well-stocked bar. If you feel like hitting the green you can even take your glass of bubbles with you.
