Help me find... things to do at the Adelaide Motorsport Festival
The CBD will be an automotive museum in motion when the Adelaide Motorsport Festival gets the green light this weekend. Here are some of the most exciting activities on offer, according to Experience Adelaide.
Have a picnic and watch the cars speed past
Take a step back in time to the former Adelaide F1 Grand Prix track for a picnic around the Wakefield Road section. There is local food, beer, wine and spirits from local producers on offer.
Start your E-engine
It isn't just historic vehicles at this event, head to the E-motion Zone that features e-vehicles together with hybrid cars, electric race and rally cars, electric bicycles, scooters and motorbikes, as well as a solar and battery technology showcase.
Bring the kids along
From simulators, pit stop challenges and drift-controlled cars are all part of the AMF Junior Zone. Forget babysitters and bring the kids to the festival for an interesting day out.
Rev your engines
The Adelaide Motorsport Festival fun starts starts with a street party on Gouger Street from 6pm on Friday 15 March. Cars move from their former home, Victoria Park, to the West End. This free community event gives the green light to a huge weekend and includes live music, driver appearances and pop-up bars to create a fun and festive atmosphere.
The Adelaide Motorsport Festival kicks off with a street party on 15 March, followed by two days of automotive fun on 16 and 17 March.
