Are you a night owl? Like exploring? Enjoy something a bit different? Then Illuminate Adelaide is for you.

 Illuminate Adelaide will transform the city into a nocturnal playground. It’s a celebration of innovation, music, art, light and technology and there’s an abundance of things to see and do.

Cost: Free, with some paid events
When: Friday 16 July – Sunday 8 August (some events have a different finishing date, please see below)

Scared? Don’t be! With a wide range of events, from a curated Botanic Gardens walk to the incredible voices of the Iwiri Choir, there’s something for everyone.

Hit the Town and match it with dinner or drinks

Make a night of your Illuminate Adelaide experience! With excellent restaurants and bars across the CBD and North Adelaide, you’re spoiled for choice. It’s a great time to use your Dinner’s On Us voucher too if you were lucky to win. Van Gogh Alive ticket holders can also get exclusive discounts until September as part of Light Up O'Connell.

Hitting up the east end? Grab a bite at Mum Cha or NOLA.. In North Adelaide? Enjoy a meal at Ruby Red Flamingo or Yakitori Takumi.. More of a west-side dweller? Check out Aurora or Stem Bar & Restaurant for dinner and drinks.

Light Cycles

A blend of light, technology and feeling, right in the heart of the Park Lands. Explore the Botanic Gardens like never before on an immersive, curated walk designed to amplify the voice of the natural world. Intrigued?! Light Cycles has been extended until Sunday 22 August.

Van Gogh Alive the Experience

Step into a multi-sensory gallery in North Adelaide to experience the greatest masterpieces of Van Gogh. He’s been dead for 131 years, but the guy knew how to create a mind-melting painting, am I right? Imagine his works, mix them with a classical score and a bunch of extremely large screens, and you’ll have an idea of the treat you’re in for! Van Gogh Alive has been extended until Sunday 29 August.
