Bronze Sculpture No. 714

Robert Klippel
Robert Klippel spent forty years researching the mechanical aspects of industrial equipment. His use in this work of mechanical elements to reflect the intricate and complex interpretation of the natural environment through the assembly of bronze castings of wooden pattern-making tools is unique. This work, which stands over 3 metres high and has a length of 3.5 metres, is an excellent example of Klippel’s finest work in his last series before he died. It is located in the lower forecourt of the InterContinental Hotel.
