Adelaide’s Long Lunch Original Promotion 

  1. The promotion starts on 15 February 2021 at 9:00 am and ends on Wednesday 24 February 2021 at 11.59 pm Adelaide time (promotional period). Vouchers can be redeemed 1 March to 30 April 2021.
  2. The promoter is Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA), a subsidiary of the Corporation of the City of Adelaide (Council), (ABN No 20 903 762 572). This competition is being run from the City of Adelaide Customer Centre at 25 Pirie Street, Adelaide SA 5000 during the promotional period.
  3. Entry is free.
  4. The competition is only open to South Australian residents aged 18 years or over. Entrants must have an active email address to enter.
  5. Council and AEDA officers, employees and immediate families of Council officers and employees are ineligible to enter this competition.
  6. Participants will go in the running to win one of 5,000 prizes.
  7. Eligible participants are permitted to submit one entry per person over the course of the promotional period. Each participant will require a unique email address - multiple people cannot use the same email address to enter. If two participants use the same email address, the participants associated with this number will be disqualified.
  8. Each entry will have equal chance at winning the prize. When registering for the draw, each participant must opt to be in either the lunch OR the experience prize draw. Each participant will also agree to have their details recorded to receive further promotional emails from AEDA (participants may unsubscribe from these emails at any time).
  9. To enter this promotion, participants must complete the form at experienceadelaide.com.au.
  10. The prizes will entitle the successful participants to a lunch or experience voucher valued at $30 which can be redeemed at registered businesses within the City of Adelaide (including North Adelaide). Vouchers can be redeemed from 1 March to 31 April 2021.
  11. Five thousand (5000) winners will be selected at random using a random electronic drawing process on 25 February 2021 at 10:00am ACDT the City of Adelaide Customer Centre at 25 Pirie Street, Adelaide SA 5000. Participants of the competition will be able to attend the drawing of the winners if that is there preference to do so. An independent scrutineer will be present at the time of, and for the duration, of the draw.
  12. The prize winners will be contacted via email sent by 5:00 pm on 26 February 2021.
  13. A list of the winning ticket numbers will be displayed at the City of Adelaide Customer Centre at 25 Pirie Street, Adelaide SA 5000 for a period of seven (7) days following the draw.
  14. In the event that there are less than 5,000 entrants to the draw, all entrants will receive an initial voucher and a subsequent draw will take place using all names of entrants. If this is the case, participants may receive more than one voucher. All vouchers will be distributed.
  15. The total prize pool is valued at one hundred and fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) and includes 5,000 x $30 vouchers comprising 4,000 lunch vouchers and 1,000 experience vouchers which can be redeemed at participating businesses. A list of participating lunch and experience businesses will be available at experienceadelaide.com.au. The list of participating businesses may change at any time and businesses may opt to have exclusion days or periods when voucher may not be redeemed.
  16. Vouchers are not redeemable for cash. Vouchers are not transferrable. Vouchers are valid for one use only and cannot be reused.
  17. Lunch vouchers can only be redeemed during lunch time trading periods, as designated by the restaurant or food vendor. Lunch vouchers can be redeemed for eat-in food only, up to the value of $30. Vouchers not valid for takeaway, alcohol or other beverages.
  18. If the value of food or experience is less than $30, any residual value is forfeited and voucher is voided for further use. No compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use any element of the prize as stated for whatever reason. Any part of the prize that is not taken for any reason is forfeited.
  19. The decision in relation to any aspect of this competition is final and no further correspondence will be entered into by AEDA regarding the result.
  20. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with Facebook. As an entrant, you completely release Facebook.
  21. AEDA makes no representation, expressly or implied, as to the quality, reliability or suitability of the prizes and expressly disclaims any liability. Any problems associated with the prizes should be brought to the attention of the respective supplier of the lunch or experience.
  22. Your Personal Information is being collected by the Promoter to include entrants in the promotion and where appropriate award prizes. If you fail to provide the Personal Information that is being requested you may not be able to enter this promotion, receive a prize, have us deal with your complaint or receive marketing information (as applicable). The Privacy Policy explains how you may seek correction to Personal Information the Promoter holds and how to make a complaint and is available at cityofadelaide.com.au/privacy.
  23. If this competition is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the AEDA, including but not limited to technical difficulties, unauthorised intervention or fraud, AEDA reserves the right in its sole discretion and to the extent permitted by law, to: (a) disqualify any participant; or (b) modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the competition, as appropriate and subject to any approval or directions from a regulatory authority.
  24. AEDA accepts no responsibility for any entries not received for any reason during the promotion period. Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt by AEDA and not at the time of transmission. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries. AEDA is not responsible for technical difficulties with the entry mechanism and does not warrant that the entry mechanism will be available at all times.
  25. The laws of South Australia apply to this competition. Participants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the laws of South Australia.
