Dame Roma Mitchell was born in 1913 and died in March 2000 in Adelaide. She was a 'trailblazer' in the fields of Law, Government and academic life, as well as in public an philanthropic service. Those who knew Dame Roma Mitchell knew that her Christian faith guided every aspect of her life and assisted her careful study and application of the law to champion human rights, justice for all and equality among peoples, respect and tolerance.
