Golden Rhombohedron (Obtuse)

Golden Rhombohedron (Obtuse) was commissioned as part of Illuminate Adelaide 2021 and is the companion to Golden Rhombohedron (Acute) with both artworks bookending the City’s Market to Riverbank link. Jason Sims is a contemporary Australian artist known for his sculptural works that explore the potential of light and reflection to create simple illusions of space and form. This sculpture is designed to reflect and respond to their surroundings and, when you investigate them, use light and illusion to reveal a space of infinite intersections within. With the LED lighting element of the artwork powered by 100 % renewable electricity, along with the rest of the City of Adelaide operations.
