Photo taken 30 December 1895

State Library Catalogue Reference: B 5406

Photographer: Ernest Gall.

The Brookman Buildings were designed by Alfred Wells, and built for mining magnate Sir George Brookman, probably in the 1880s. The site is now occupied by the 'Black stump'. Brookman's name lives on in the Brookman Building at Uni SA on North Tce where it was originally the School of Mines.
