View of Adelaide from Montefiore Hill, 1860

Photo taken 30 December 1859

State Library Catalogue Reference: B 1121

View of Adelaide in 1860 looking south from Montefiore Hill. Scots Church can be seen on the left, and Government House in the left-centre of the view. The railway station is in the centre. The West Terrace Flour Mill is on the right. There were more chimneys than church spires at that time!
