'Three Fined Over Intoxicated Man
Separately charged with breaches of the Licensing Act, two men and a woman were each fined £5, with costs, yesterday. Britton John Coats, 65, licensee of the Caledonian Hotel, North Adelaide, was found guilty of having had a man in a state of intoxication on his premises about 3.30 pm on February 25. Marmaduke Coats, 66, casual barman, and Ruby Pearl Coats, 26, both of the same hotel, were found guilty of having unlawfully supplied liquor to an intoxicated man on the same day.
A certificate that the offence was trivial was refused the licensee.'

'Police Search For Naked Man
Police sped to the North Parklands at 3 a.m. today in search of a naked man. A resident of North Adelaide reported having seen the man walking briskly through the parklands near the Caledonian Hotel. He was naked, except for a towel wrapped round his head in the fashion of an Indian faker. Detective Vogelesang and Constable Stead, in overcoats and scarves, set out after their quarry. The temperature at 3 a.m., according to the Weather Bureau, was 49.2 deg. No trace of the man was found.
