A Magical Party set to be Unleashed across Adelaide

Wizards and witches will come together for a Harry Potter-inspired Spellbound Street Party in the next instalment of ADL Unleashed.

On Saturday 25 June, grab some butterbeer and polyjuice potion then head to the Queen’s Theatre on Playhouse Lane for a magical market, followed by a Wizard World Rave dance party.

The market will include stalls, food trucks, gin and wine tasting, while partygoers can make their own cocktail at a potions class and dance the night away at the rave.

Spellbound is part of ADL Unleashed, which is a series of events and activations across the city designed to increase visitation.

The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Sandy Verschoor, says there will be no time turner to rewind this exciting event if it is missed.

“I can't wait to see glam witches, wizards and muggles come to the city for this ADL Unleashed Spellbound event,” the Lord Mayor says.

“Prepare yourself for a potion or two and rush down to Playhouse Lane.”

Stallholders at the market include Potty Mouth, Floyd & Frankie, Little Glow Candle Co, Hey Elsie and Jasper & Co.

Food and drink vendors include Frankie’s Pizza, What the Croque, Stroop Waffles and Cane Sugar Cane Juice.

Undercover events, the company behind Spellbound, director Jade Moody says the event will showcase the best of South Australia, with all vendors taking on a Harry Potter theme.

“I am a Harry Potter fan and we haven’t seen an event with this theme, so I thought I would bring all the Potter heads together and host something they can be excited for and get into,” Ms Moody says.

“There is no obligation to dress up but, if you want to rep your house colours, 10 points to Gryffindor.”
