Hutt Street set to be Unleashed

Last updated 19 May, 2022

Let loose when street parties head to Hutt Street this month as part of ADL Unleashed.

The Hutt Pocket Parties, on Friday 20 May and Friday 27 May, bring a cosy atmosphere to the south east of the city where people can top off the working week by eating, drinking and dancing the night away.

The party on 20 May, located at the corner of Hutt and Carrington Streets, will include live music, outdoor dining, dance floors, caricature artists, circus performers, and illuminated heritage buildings as part of the Historic Hutt Street Trail.

Businesses including the Havelock Hotel, Chianti Restaurant and Bar Torino will join in on the fun, with tables still available at all restaurants.

On 27 May, the party will be located between at the corner of Hutt and Gilles Streets, and will include live music, pop-up dancing, fire twirling, fire pits and illuminated heritage buildings as part of the Historic Hutt Street Trail.

The Right Honourable The Lord Mayor of Adelaide, Sandy Verschoor, says as Australia’s only UNESCO City of Music, the parties will offer top-notch entertainment.

“As Australia’s only UNESCO City of Music, Adelaide offers stand out entertainment,” the Lord Mayor said.

“With street parties, live music and pop-up dancefloors it is a great time to come into the city and get behind our local traders – you won’t be disappointed.”

Adelaide Economic Development Agency Managing Director Ian Hill says the parties will be an enjoyable time for workers and families alike to experience the electric atmosphere of the CBD.

“The street parties are planned to bring people to the city and we hope to see many people on the street to support the CBD’s south-eastern end,” Mr Hill says.

“There are a number of traders taking part in the event, so soak up the festive atmosphere and visit the bustling precinct.”

The Hutt Street Pocket Party details:
