Events & Festivals Sponsorship Program

The Events Recovery Fund and Annual Sponsorship Program are administered by the Adelaide Economic Development Agency (AEDA), a subsidiary of the City of Adelaide. The purpose of these programs is to provide financial support to eligible organisations to assist in the staging of events and festivals held within the City of Adelaide boundary.

About the program

Events and festivals are an important lever to encourage people back into the city. The purpose of the Events Recovery Fund is to support the events industry as it continues to face challenges as a result of the long-term impacts of COVID-19.

The program will offer three categories of funding designed to assist in the staging of COVID-safe events that help drive visitation, spend and vibrancy for the city:

  • Quick Response – up to $10,000
  • Expansion of Existing Events – up to $50,000
  • New Events – up to $200,000

Applications are now open and close 30 April 2022 or when funds are exhausted. 

How to apply

Before commencing an application, you must:

  • Read the Events Recovery Fund Guidelines to ensure your organisation and event/festival meet the eligibility criteria for the category selected; and
  • Contact the Event Sponsorship and Attraction Advisor, Paula Stankiewicz, via 08 8203 7318.

Suitable requests will then be invited to complete an online application form via SmartyGrants.

Annual Sponsorship Program

Applications for the 2021-22 Annual Events and Festivals Sponsorship Program are now CLOSED.

The next round will reopen in 2022.
